BABY is a dark comedy set in the 1980s that follows a quirky 14 year old misfit who has two dead parents and one adult boyfriend.
Baby Bagnell’s grade nine year isn’t going so well. She’s social napalm at school, failing all her classes and her parents are dead – which means she’s stuck living with her alcoholic stepmother, Mommy Lu. When she’s not hanging out in her parent’s cemetery, Baby dreams of finding love. She encounters it one night at Spin City, the local roller rink. The only problem? Her new boyfriend is 29 years old. So the romance goes into hiding, away from prying adult eyes. As sneaking around begins to take a toll and the secret relationship is on the verge of being discovered, Baby starts to feel older than her young years. Can a Love-That-Dare-Not-Show-Its-Face-To-The-Cops save her?
